Translation is an art form. It is common
knowledge that the translator should only translate to his or her native
language. However, not every person can do professional translations. You
need impeccable command of both your native language and the source
language. In addition, you need to be an expert in the subject matter.
I have been a working academic scientist and
a professional translator for several years. I am mainly
working with patents, and pharmaceutical / medical device documents. With scientific, technical and patent
documents, it is critical that the translator understands the field.
I have a PhD in Genetics, with experience
translating documents in the fields of Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular
